Visiting Paris in April

Last week was the perfect time to be in Paris. The weather was neither too hot, nor too cold, and the hoards of tourists had yet to show up. I always think of Paris as a city I know fairly well, but I learn new things about it each time I go. Take, for example, the following round up of boutiques and restaurants: Nose, Le Chambre aux Confitures, Breizh Cafe, Beef Club. All new finds, and all on my Parisian future-visit list. It was also nice to visit the city with family. I’ve gone the last few times with friends or to study, but there’s something about showing someone close to you around a city that makes the experience feel more personal– like you will be talking about that one bookstore you visited every day, or the jam store you fell in love with, for years to come. The only down fall on this trip was that I found myself too enthralled in conversation, or perhaps just plain negligent, when it came to taking photos. This is by far my least recorded trip, but that just means I’ll have to go back soon.
