The Jetsetter Gift Guide | Christmas Countdown No. 6 Part I
This gift guide could have easily been called the “gift guide for that one friend who you never see because they’re always on holiday” or even “the According to Adriana must-haves for 2018 gift guide,” but instead it’s aptly named The Jetsetter Gift Guide. I travel a lot so over the years I’ve picked up a few tricks on how to travel efficiently, but I’m still working on how to pack lightly. I’ve gotten better, but there’s always room for improvement.
Organization is key:
• Native Union makes this great two-in-one product called the Jump Cable that I’m buying for all of my girlfriends this year. It’s compact, and has both a lightning cable and a USB cable. That might not sound different from any other phone chargers but the most important part is that it doubles as a portable charger, a must have for traveling. (And I found this one on sale!)
• This de Mamiel Altitude Oil is full of essential oils including Lavender and Peppermint, great for calming your nerves and to help decongest during and after a long flight.
• A personalized zip pouch to keep all of your supplements, medicine, a face mask, or snacks, creates the perfect in-flight essentials kit. Get this hand painted one monogrammed so it is uniquely yours.
• If you haven’t yet heard of Paravel, you will now. Paravel was created by Andy Krantz and Indre Rockefeller, two fashion industry veterans who love to travel. Their products offer function without sacrificing fashion at an affordable price. My favorite items in the line? Packing cubes may not sound glamorous but this trio of bright red cubes packs a punch in any luggage. Domino (black) and Flamingo (pink) are the newest colors available for pre-order now, in addition to Red and Blue.
• After traveling with an old L’Occitane box I had recycled from a gift as a make shift charger cords holder, it was time for a change. The Parker Thatch CHARGERS cables and chargers pouch fits the bill nicely, don’t you think?
• This Anya Hindmarch says “Girlie Stuff” and is the perfect addition to both your handbag and hand luggage. Organization made easy.
• Whether you’re someone who likes to workout on holiday or not, a pair of comfortable tennis shoes makes life so much easier when traveling. APL Techloom Pro running shoes come in a bunch of different colors, but the most important part is their proprietary sole which offers added cushion and a stretchy fit. They’re perfect for both the plane and once you land, and unlike other workout shoes, you can match them to your personal style.
• In 2018 I’m determined to travel with a carry-on bag whenever possible. Away is the trendy new travel company and I love that The Bigger Carry On allows for a bit more room than standard carry-on bags, but also that there are added features like a built-in charger, a compression insert where you can house necessities in a zipped compartment, and a built-in laundry bag. I’m partial to the Monogrammed version on their website, but you can also purchase standard Away luggage at West Elm.
• One thing not on this list is my travel necessity, the Flight 001 3-1-1 bag. It’s the TSA-approved clear bag that holds a bit more than most TSA bags. I don’t travel anywhere without it, but at $10, it’s not the most impressive gift. In contrast, the Anya Hindmarch Stack Triple Makeup Pouch is perfect to hold non-liquid makeup, brushes, beauty tools, and much more. You can organize by type: skincare, makeup and makeup applicators, and body products like bar soap or a razor. It’s just so versatile and I love that it has multiple compartments without having multiple bags. Use the two bags together and you’ll be surprised how much you can carry.
