A Routine Worth Prioritizing
As women, we hear a lot about routines. Maybe you have a morning/night-time-skincare routine, a workout schedule, a get-your-kids-to-school routine, a makeup routine, or at the very least, a get-yourself-to-work routine. Routines are important, but they are also mundane, by definition. One routine that I never tire of, mainly because I often forget to prioritize it, is a bedtime routine.
A few months ago, I picked up a striped sleep set from J.Crew, but I never wore it—until recently when I found it, with tags, in a drawer. I was excited because I always put more effort into my nighttime routine when I have a new product, and it gives me a reason to focus on relaxing before bed. I’ll actually make that cup of tea, put on the humidifier or give my face a steam, count to see if I really got those eight glasses of water, and just pamper myself a bit. I’m not saying it beats a massage, but it does help me go to sleep (and in turn, wake up) feeling refreshed and calm.
